After our Honourable Prime Minister Modi Ji & Ministry of Ayush tweeted about CHYAVANPRASH in Measures to promote Immunity during Covid 2019 crisis. CHYAVANPRASH is something that people are rushing to buy. Their Guideline states to take 10 gms (1 tsp) in the morning.
Hence I thought of sharing my Secret Home Made Chyavanprash Recipe & Recommendation with you all. Every Indian Household has these basic ingredients. If you don’t have any ingredient mentioned below, Feel free to comment or CLICK HERE to contact us, I will help you with a swap.
HOW DOES IT HELPS IMMUNITY?
- Strengthens the trachea–bronchial tree & hence improves immunity.
- Improves the functioning of the respiratory system.
- Treat respiratory infections, allergic cough, asthma, rhinitis, bronchospasm, seasonal or non-season respiratory disorders
- 2-3 Cup Amla / Gooseberry
- 1 Cup Gur / Jaggery
- 1 Cup Honey
- 6 Tbsp Ghee / Clarified Butter
- 1.5 Tbsp Black Pepper
- 2 Tbsp Saunf / Fennel Seeds
- 1.5 Tsp Saunth / Dry Ginger Powder
- 8 pcs Chotti Elaichi / Green Cardamom
- 5 pcs Laung / Clove
- 1 Inch Stick Dalchini / Cinnamon
- 3-4 Strands Kesar / Saffron
- Wash Amla & pat-dry them. De-Seed them.
- Pressure Cook for 2-3 whistles. Let it cool.
- Blend in Mixer till it is in thick lump free puree form.
- Sautee Amla in ghee for 10 minutes, till ghee leaves sides.
- Add jaggery - honey.
- Grind all the spices mentioned above. You can sieve them too.
- Add it to that thick paste till it mixes well.
- Cook till it becomes thick & sticky paste.
- Cool & store in a glass jar.
- Grated/ Chopped Amla cooks faster.
- Whole Amla can be pressure cooked too, it can be de-seeded later.
- Sieving masala/ spices is completely optional.
According to my recommendation,
DOSAGE: FOR KIDS: 1/2 Tsp with Milk - 200 ml
FOR ADULTS: 1 Tsp with Milk - 200 ml
