Why & How to clean Grocery in Corona Virus Pandemic

5 Steps to Follow for Grocery Shopping amidst LockDown due to Corona Virus:

I am getting regular messages on this topic since I posted my Certificate on COVID-2019 from the University of London. It is not yet proven that Corona Virus can spread via grocery packages. But I feel it’s better to be safe than sorry. So follow these steps!!

1. DON’T GO! 🙈😂 Try to avoid social contact, if mandatory maintain 6-metre distance with other shoppers. Use same bag every time for shopping. Leave it outside your home/in lawn for future. Wear mask & full sleeve clothing. Keep hands away from face. Immediately wash clothes upon return & take a shower.

2. WASHING! Leave all your groceries at the front door. Use alcohol-based sanitizer/ mild soap water/any food-grade cleaning agent with alcohol (Won’t name brand or product, since I don’t wanna promote anything as of now) on a disposable cloth, Wipe every packet/box with it and spread on a clean surface. Let it sit there for 6-7 hours before you put it in the kitchen/fridge.

3. VEG & FRUITS, I recommend wiping the surface of thick skin with mild soap or leaving all vegetables and fruits in open separately for 5-6 hrs, then store in the fridge in a different compartment. It should be kept away from cooked food.
How the virus acts in the fridge is yet unknown to us. So no harm in keeping them separate.
Wash before you use it.

4. Disinfect your phone, keys etc too with sanitizer or alcohol-based disinfectant. Keep minimal stuff with you when you go out.

5. Keep your purse separate or use E-Payment modes while paying during this time. Wash Hands after handling currency notes.

I recommend using dry, non-perishable ingredients like rice, dal, wheat etc during this time. Avoid running behind perishable stuff like vegetables, fruits & milk.
Store what’s possible and stay home.
DON’T HOARD 🙏
