Easy & Healthy Whole Wheat Kulcha – No Yeast, Low Oil

Kulcha, Pizza, etc are generally considered as Junk Foods as their traditional recipes are made from refined wheat flour/ maida. But a little modification with the right ingredients can turn them into Healthy Feast.

In this fast pacing Modern World, we all crave for Variety of Foods due to globalization. But eating High-Calorie Foods which are stripped of Fibre & Nutrients leads to various health disorders. So here’s presenting a Modified Healthy Punjabi Delicacy.

Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Mix all dry ingredients except Kalonji / Nigella Seeds.
  2. Add Curd & Oil.
  3. Add water slowly as per requirement to make a soft dough.
  4. Rest the dough covered with wet muslin cloth for 30 mins.
  5. Divide the dough in 4 equal parts.
  6. Use oil smeared hands and roll into a flat bread. Sprinkle Nigella seeds/ Kalonji & press gently to settle them.
  7. Cook on a pan / tawa on low heat till it shows little browning from both sides.
  8. Serve Hot with Chickpea / Chole / Dal Makhani / Lentils.
Recipe Notes

1. You can replace 25% wheat flour with sooji/semolina to make it more soft.

2. If your Kulcha is sticky then use dry flour or brush some oil on tawa/pan.
I haven't used any oil on the pan in the above image.
